Clean Beauty, and why YOU should care.

Clean beauty is sweeping the nation and it is here to stay there are movements that are making waves and demanding that our beauty products are made with a higher standard. So what is clean beauty you ask?

Clean Beauty is defined by-products that are mindfully created and produced without any proven or suspected toxic ingredients. Clean Beauty products include ingredients ethically sourced and are made with the health of our bodies and the environment in mind. Natural beauty does not have one set of definitions and can mean different things to different people. To me, clean beauty, or natural beauty, is when products are created in a mindful way without the use of potentially harmful chemicals. Clean beauty has become a movement that has taken its core values and beliefs all the way to the halls of Congress and beyond. Clean Beauty starts with regulating the items that are used in our everyday beauty and skincare products. These products can be harmful to your overall and to your skin as well. Here are just a few of the items that are super harmful that companies regularly place in your favorite items.

• Phthalates

• Fragrance

• Synthetic Colors

• Heavy Metals

• Sodium lauryl Sulfate & Sodium Laureth Sulfate

• Sunscreen Chemicals

• Formaldehyde and Formaldehyde Releasing Preservatives (FRP)

• Petroleum-Based Ingredients

• Triclosan

• Parabens

Honestly, it doesn't even matter if you can not pronounce these, I can't either, so we're both good, just know that these are just a few of the hundreds of items that can cause serious consequences in your life. A Few years ago I have received a box from WWP(wounded warrior program) as a gift from a clean beauty class that I had taken. Let me just say that set the standard rolling for me. I wanted to know more about clean beauty and using more eco-friendly and products that were sustainably sourced. I reached out to a Director and she talked me through the values our her company and what it meant to work for and with a company that strives to create amazing beauty and cosmetic products that work to make sure that over 1,800 ingredients are not used in any of their products.
